Health Guarantee

                                                       HEALTH GUARANTEE

Puppies that are bred and whelped at KB Kennels carry a Hip and Eye Guarantee. This guarantees that the puppies will not have genetic problems that will prevent them from getting certified by The Orthopedic Foundation For Animals (OFFA). We research the backgrounds of our Sires and Dams and complete all the health clearances and tests before we breed. Only when we are satisfied that they are clear of any health problems will we breed. Your health guarantee applies only if the purchaser complies with this agreement and only for the original purchaser.

1. The puppy you are purchasing on this Date_______________________ Microchip #_____________________, is guaranteed to be free of hip and elbow dysphasia, and any CERF eye defects.

2. The dog's hips should be x-rayed between 24 and 28 months of age by an approved veterinarian, and xrays sent to OFA to be examined. (This guarantee is not valid for dogs over 28 months of age). If the dog was certified to be dysplastic, the owner must submit proof in writing from OFA. (A copy of the OFA certification) and from a veterinarian the dog has been spayed or nuetered. KB Kennels has access to any vet records of injuries occuring prior to 2 years of age. (Microchip number must be present on written documents).

3. The dog must not have been bred before being x-rayed and approved by the OFA. If the dog has been bred before being approved by the OFA, then this guarantee becomes VOID.

4. The dog must have it's eyes examined by 1 year of age by a certified veterinary ophthalmologist. The ophthalmologist must state in writing that the defect is of a hereditary nature and not caused by injury or illness. (Microchip number must be present on written documents). Dogs over 18 months of age will not be covered by this guarantee.

5. At 4 months of age you must lower the protein level on the dog food to around 24% up to one year of age. After one year you may feed the desired protein level based on activity.

6. If for any reason you decide not to keep the puppy we would request that you bring the puppy back to KB Kennels at the puppy buyers expense.

When we are satisfied that a problem does exist, the animal has not been bred and has been spayed or neutered, the pup will be replaced by one of similar or same breeding. If the price of the replacement pup is greater than the original pup purchased the owner will pay the difference. The expense of transportation of another pup will be assumed by the purchaser. This guarantee only applies to the original purchaser.
